Taking to social media, Sawant accused Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government of targeting her, stating, “I’m not alone.
Modi has retaliated against other activists & journalists, denying or revoking entry into India.” She further expressed her discontent over the BJP government’s policies, including the controversial CAA-NRC law
Sawant links US immigration policies to Modi’s stance
Sawant also criticized the US government’s treatment of immigrant workers, drawing a parallel with the BJP’s stance in India. She has shared a petition on social media calling for an end to the visa denial and retaliation.
