Discussions focus on cyber threats, ICT security, and joint capacity-building initiatives
The Eighth India-EU Cyber Dialogue took place on March 20, 2025, in New Delhi, with key officials from both sides discussing enhanced cybersecurity collaboration.
India and EU Address Cyber Threats and Digital Security
The Indian delegation, led by Amit Shukla, Joint Secretary, Cyber Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs, included representatives from MeitY, MHA, DoT, CERT-In, and NCIIPC.
The EU delegation was co-chaired by Maciej Stadejek (EEAS) and Christiane Kirketerp de Viron (DG Communications Networks, Content, and Technology), along with members from EEAS and the EU Delegation to India.
Focus Areas and Key Discussions
Both sides reviewed the evolving cyber threat landscape, exchanged views on cyber policies, security standards, and critical information infrastructure protection, and explored collaborations in multilateral security frameworks for ICTs.
Key topics included:
- Standardization of 6G and telecom security standards
- Joint capacity-building programs
- Cooperation in cybersecurity regulations and threat mitigation
