The Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today in Jeddah. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Issa strongly condemned the horrific terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir and extended his deepest condolences for the innocent lives lost.

Recalling their previous meeting in New Delhi in July 2023, Prime Minister Modi praised the Muslim World League’s commitment to countering extremism, terrorism, and violence. He reflected on India’s philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the belief that the world is one family—and highlighted how India’s incredible diversity across cultures, languages, ethnicities, and religions forms the foundation of its vibrant society and political system.

Prime Minister Modi appreciated the Muslim World League’s efforts to promote tolerance, moderation, and social cohesion during their meeting in Jeddah.

Prime Minister Modi also emphasized the growing and enduring partnership between India and Saudi Arabia, spanning various sectors, with strong socio-cultural ties acting as a key pillar.

The meeting underscored the shared commitment of India and the Muslim World League to fostering peace, tolerance, and unity amid global challenges.
