All grades move to virtual learning following Ministry of Health directive in Oman
In response to a chickenpox outbreak, Indian School Darsait in Muscat has temporarily shifted to online classes for all students following instructions from the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, Ministry of Health, reported timesofoman.com.
Classes from Balvatika to Grade XII to continue virtually until May 1, 2025.
According to an official circular from the school, virtual learning began on April 27, 2025, and will continue through Thursday, May 1. Students from Grades I to XII will attend their regular lessons via Google Classrooms. Balvatika and Kindergarten classes will also be held online, with specific schedules communicated by the respective teachers.
The school has advised parents to closely monitor their children for symptoms of chickenpox and ensure they do not return to campus unless fully recovered. A medical fitness certificate will be required for any student rejoining offline classes after illness.
Confirmed chickenpox cases must be reported to class teachers immediately.
Parents have been urged to notify their child’s class teacher promptly in case of a confirmed chickenpox diagnosis to aid in tracking and containment efforts. The school administration remains in close coordination with health authorities to safeguard student well-being.
