Muscat is all set to witness a spectacular cultural showcase as Triputotsavam 2025 unfolds on Friday, May 16 at the Wadi Kabir Majan Heights Hall, starting from 4:30 PM. This vibrant festival marks the official debut of this year’s new batch of Triputa Muscat, a collective known for preserving and promoting Kerala’s traditional percussion and performing arts.

A major highlight of the event is the Panchari Melam, where 10 new artists will make their debut under the expert mentorship of Mr. Amal Korappuzha, a guiding force behind Triputa Muscat. The event will be graced by the presence of Mr. Kalamandalam Sivadasan Marar, renowned as the “Mela Chakravarti” of North Malabar, who will serve as the chief guest.

  • For the first time in the GCC, the mesmerizing temple art form Garudan Parava will be performed, offering audiences a rare glimpse into Kerala’s devotional dance traditions

  • Another major attraction is the Ilanjithara Melam, or Pandi Melam, the pulsating ensemble that forms the soul of the famous Thrissur Pooram

The festival will feature a grand Mela Parvizham, an intense percussion symphony with over 50 artists, including 15 special guests from Kerala. This immersive musical spectacle aims to recreate the spirit of Kerala’s temple festivals right in the heart of Muscat.

Adding a melodic twist to the celebration is a performance by Sri. Vivekananda, a violinist and vocalist known for his magical command over the instrument. The lineup also includes Sopana Sangeetham by Chandu Mirosh, and a dynamic dance presentation by Rhythm Dance & Music, promising a well-rounded cultural experience.

Entry to Triputotsavam 2025 is free, making it an open invitation for art lovers, families, and the wider community to immerse themselves in Kerala’s rich artistic heritage.

A press conference was held at Ruwi Ananthapuri Hotel where members of Triputa Muscat, including Amal Korappuzha, Chandu Mirosh, Sathish Kumar, Sudhi Pillai, Kalesh Kallingappuram, and Harikrishnan, shared insights into the preparations and significance of this annual cultural celebration.
