In a shocking incident that has sparked outrage, a 23-year-old Indian student, Charanpreet Singh, was brutally assaulted by a group of five men in Adelaide, Australia, on Saturday night. The attack, reportedly racially motivated, occurred near Kintore Avenue as Singh was walking with his wife, reported gujaratsamachar.com.

According to reports, the men launched the unprovoked attack around 9:22 pm, armed with metal knuckles or sharp objects. The assault began over a seemingly minor dispute related to car parking but quickly escalated into a violent, racially charged confrontation.

“They just said, ‘F— off, Indian,’ and after that, they just started punching,” Singh was quoted by 9News.

Singh was rushed to the hospital and treated for serious injuries, including brain trauma and multiple facial fractures. Local news confirmed that he was found unconscious following the violent assault.

Police in Adelaide are actively investigating the incident and reviewing CCTV footage from the area. Authorities have yet to make any arrests but have condemned the assault as deeply concerning.

This attack comes on the heels of another racially motivated incident in Dublin, Ireland, where an Indian man was similarly targeted, beaten, and stripped in a suspected hate crime. The back-to-back incidents have raised alarms over the growing frequency of racially motivated violence targeting Indians abroad.

Community leaders and advocacy groups have urged swift justice and stronger protection measures for international students and minority communities.
