Senior diplomat Dinesh K. Patnaik to assume charge in Ottawa soon
The Government of India has appointed Dinesh K. Patnaik (IFS:1990) as the next High Commissioner of India to Canada. Patnaik, who is currently serving as the Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Spain, will soon take up his new diplomatic assignment in Ottawa.
A seasoned Indian Foreign Service officer from the 1990 batch, Dinesh K. Patnaik brings vast diplomatic experience and is expected to play a vital role in advancing India–Canada relations.
Patnaik’s appointment comes at a crucial time when New Delhi is looking to strengthen its partnership with Ottawa across diverse sectors including trade, technology, education, and people-to-people ties.
