A viral video from London’s Elizabeth Line has captured a tense exchange between an Indian-origin passenger and a Pakistani man, sparking widespread online debate. The clip shows the Indian man confronting the fellow passenger, asking, “You are Pakistani and I am Indian, is that a problem?” The Pakistani man replies affirmatively, saying, “Because we are enemies, reported hindustantimes.com.

In the video, the Indian man responds firmly yet respectfully: “We are enemies? I have no problem with you… This is going to go viral.” To this, the Pakistani man retorts, “Yeah, you make it viral.” Moments later, the Pakistani passenger exits the train at the next station, with the person filming remarking, “Get off at Whitechapel.”

The Indian-origin man’s calm and composed response has drawn praise online, while the Pakistani passenger’s remark has been widely condemned as unnecessary hostility

The confrontation quickly spread across social media, with users slamming the Pakistani man’s attitude. One user wrote, “That Pakistani openly admitting ‘we are enemies’ shows their hatred runs deeper than borders, even in London trains.” Another added, “The Indian man isn’t putting another division, but the Pakistani man has. That’s the difference.”

Others called the incident a reflection of deeper prejudices carried overseas. Comments ranged from “Typical Pakistanis – hate all, hated by all” to observations about diversity and coexistence in the UK.
