Dubai police and Emirates ensure safe return of lost device, highlighting city’s reputation for security
Popular Tamil YouTuber Madan Gowri recently lost his mobile phone at Dubai Airport and received it back in Chennai, thanks to the prompt action of Dubai police and Emirates airline. He shared his experience on Instagram, expressing gratitude for their efficiency and care, reported ndtv.com.

According to Madan Gowri, he misplaced his phone a week ago and immediately informed Emirates staff. He was asked to email the phone’s details. Upon returning to Chennai, he received confirmation that the device had been found.
“The Dubai police then arranged for the device to be sent back to Chennai free of cost on the next available flight,” he said.
The video of his experience went viral, with users praising Dubai’s safety. Comments included, “Safest country in the world,” and one recalled losing a laptop bag at Dubai’s T3 terminal, which was returned within three days. “You can’t beat the quality of service by Dubai Airport and Emirates,” another wrote.
Dubai’s safety reputation is well-known. Last year, influencer Leyla Afshonkar left gold jewellery on a parked car as a prank to test the city’s honesty. Pedestrians did not touch the items, and one even returned a fallen piece to the car, reinforcing Dubai’s image as one of the safest cities globally.
