Senior diplomat currently serving as India’s Ambassador to Poland to take charge in Tokyo soon
The Government of India has announced the appointment of Nagma Mohamed Mallick (IFS: 1991) as the next Ambassador of India to Japan. Mallick, a seasoned diplomat from the 1991 batch of the Indian Foreign Service, is presently serving as India’s Ambassador to the Republic of Poland.

According to an official statement from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Mallick is expected to take up her new assignment in Tokyo in the coming days.
Mallick’s appointment comes at a time when India and Japan continue to strengthen their strategic partnership, particularly in the areas of defence, technology, infrastructure, and economic cooperation.
