Harman Singh Kapoor claims London police ignored his assault case despite evidence; accuses authorities of bias and negligence
Six months after he was allegedly attacked by a group of British-Pakistani men, Sikh man Harman Singh Kapoor has accused the UK Metropolitan Police of failing to act against his assailants. Kapoor claims that despite submitting video evidence and filing multiple complaints, no arrests or meaningful updates have been made in his case, reported gujaratsamachar.com.
The London-based man took to social media again this week, expressing frustration over what he described as police indifference and systemic bias. He alleged that the police treated him as a suspect rather than a victim, detaining him for 20 hours after the incident.
Sikh victim says police “failed to protect him, then tried to destroy him”
In a strongly worded post on X (formerly Twitter), Kapoor wrote, “Remember, Metropolitan Police, you arrested me for defending myself against a gang of inbred Pakistanis. You locked me up, took my DNA, fingerprints, phone IMEI, and even the reference number of my Rolex—desperate to pin something on me. But you found nothing. You failed to protect me, then tried to destroy me.”
In another post, he alleged that London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s administration had turned a blind eye to his case, claiming, “My wife had to call 999, and instead of protecting me, the police arrested me for defending myself. Meanwhile, the attackers walk free, enjoying a system that bends for them.”
The incident has sparked renewed debate over racial bias in British policing, particularly in how authorities handle racially charged assaults involving minority victims.
Social media users have widely supported Kapoor, calling for transparency and an independent probe into the case. Some activists have urged the Metropolitan Police to review its handling of racially motivated incidents and restore public trust in law enforcement.
