Indian School Muscat’s Care & Special Education (CSE) initiative, kicked off its Annual Exhibition 2026 with a lively curtain-raiser event on February 2. Titled ‘Teach to Reach: Expanding Possibilities’, the ceremony drew dignitaries and ambassadors, including HH Sayyida Zawan bint Fahar al Said.

Held on a Monday morning, it spotlighted CSE’s dedication to tailored education for children from Oman, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Sudan, Nigeria, and the Philippines.

Sayyida Zawan praised the centre’s vital role, noting that even advanced nations lack enough support for children with learning challenges. “Parents often don’t spot needs until age 10,” she said. “It’s remarkable to have this hub in Oman—I hope it grows across governorates.”

Speaking to the media, Sayyida Zawan said, “It is an extremely important field of education. Even today, in the developed countries there are not enough schools to support children with learning disabilities and who need special care. Even parents do not recognise that until the children are about 10 years old. And it is phenomenal that we have a center right here in Oman. It will be nice to see the centre expand to other governorates.”

CSE students stole the show with confident performances, showcasing their growth in a supportive setting. A short film they created even entered the Indian School Film Festival. President Ramakrishna Gowdgere emphasised: “Every child counts. We foster an inclusive space to celebrate differences, nurture talents, and unlock full potential.”

The main exhibition will be held on February 7 and 8 at CSE premises in Indian School Muscat. It will highlight adaptive tools, helpful aids, and fresh teaching methods that boost independence and skills for children with special needs. Expect displays of student projects, learning gadgets, therapy equipment, job-training setups, and a model home for everyday living skills.

A key highlight of the exhibition is expected to be the display of student work, adaptive learning tools, therapy aids, vocational training initiatives, and real-life skill development models, including an ADL (Activities of Daily Living) Model Home. These exhibits are designed to demonstrate practical strategies that support independent living and inclusion.

The exhibition also serves as an interactive platform for parents, caregivers, educators, professionals, and the wider community to gain insights into recent advancements, best practices, and available resources that support the holistic development of children with diverse needs.

A board spokesperson added: “This event underscores our promise to inclusivity, where success comes from care and opportunity, not limits.” Open to parents, teachers, experts, and the community, it offers hands-on insights into top resources for children’s all-round growth.
