Singapore-based stand-up comic Sharul Channa is set to launch her brand-new comedy special, Saree, These Are Just Jokes!, on 6 and 7 March in Singapore. The shows, timed to coincide with International Women’s Day week, mark another milestone in her 15-year journey in comedy. Performances will run from 8 pm to 10 pm at MDLR, with tickets available on Peatix and her official website.
Following the Singapore premiere, Sharul will embark on her biggest India tour yet through March and April. The tour will travel across Coimbatore, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and Vadodara, along with a private show in Hyderabad. Over the years, she has written and performed several one-woman shows, including Potty Mouth and Disco Sheela & Other Indian Superwomen, drawing audiences across Singapore, Asia and Australia. Her acclaimed works such as Crazy Poor Sita and Am I Old? have further strengthened her reputation for honest and fearless storytelling.
Beyond the stage, Sharul actively supports women’s empowerment. She has collaborated with AWARE, Singapore’s leading gender equality group, and frequently speaks about challenging stereotypes.
