Indian curriculum schools across the United Arab Emirates have commenced the 2026–27 academic year through online classes due to rising geopolitical tensions in the region. The precaution follows ongoing instability linked to the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.
School authorities have prioritised student well-being over academic intensity during the initial phase. Activities such as virtual assemblies, orientation sessions, and teacher introductions are being conducted to help students adapt. The UAE Ministry of Education has extended distance learning until April 17 to ensure safety across all educational institutions.
