The Bihar government has launched a new digital platform designed to strengthen the involvement of people of Bihar origin living across India and overseas in the state’s development initiatives.
The portal was inaugurated on Tuesday at Technology Bhavan by Information Technology Minister Nitish Mishra, who said the initiative would serve as a bridge between the Bihari diaspora and opportunities in sectors such as investment, employment, startups, education and social development.
Speaking at the launch, Mishra said individuals of Bihar origin would be able to register online and provide details about their professional background, experience and areas of expertise. Based on this information, the platform will connect users with relevant government schemes, programmes and opportunities where they can contribute to the state’s growth.

The portal has been structured around three participation categories. Under the “Changemaker” section, registered users can offer ideas, innovations, policy recommendations and professional expertise to support Bihar’s development agenda

The “Volunteer” category allows participants to engage in social, developmental and technical projects across the state
A third category, “Investment”, is aimed at entrepreneurs, business leaders and investors interested in establishing industries, generating employment and expanding economic activity in Bihar.
The state government hopes the initiative will help harness the knowledge, skills and resources of the extensive Bihari diaspora. According to Mishra, millions of people from Bihar are working in diverse sectors across India and around the world, making significant contributions in fields including technology, industry, education, healthcare and scientific research.
Officials believe the platform will create a structured mechanism for connecting this global talent pool with Bihar’s development priorities, while encouraging greater collaboration between the state and its diaspora community.
