Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport has launched a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) preclearance facility, making travel to the U.S. more convenient by enabling travelers to complete U.S. customs and immigration checks before departure, reported gulfbuzz.com.

Equipped with advanced biometric and facial recognition technology, the facility is designed to make the experience fast and efficient, with dedicated CBP gates to reduce wait times

This facility allows passengers to skip long immigration lines upon arrival in the U.S., allowing them to immediately exit the airport or catch connecting flights.

Zayed International Airport now stands out as the only airport in the Middle East and Asia to offer this preclearance service, which includes customs, immigration, and agricultural inspections.
