Air India is set to woo the 35-million-strong Indian diaspora with cheaper fares, as it navigates delays in upgrading its aging fleet, said CEO Campbell Wilson in a recent interview with Bloomberg, reported economictimes.indiatimes.com.
Competitive Pricing for an Inconsistent Fleet
With fleet inconsistencies impacting customer experience, Wilson emphasized that pricing will reflect this reality. “People choose an airline based on multiple factors—price, travel duration, affinity with culture, food, and perceived quality,” he noted. While specifics on discounts remain undisclosed, fare adjustments are on the horizon.
