By blending the spirit of invention with the discipline of sport, the school continues to nurture well-rounded learners ready for future challenges

Al Injaz International Private School in Muscat marked its annual Sports Day on February 12 with enthusiasm, creativity and a strong message on discipline and innovation. The event was attended by Omani football legend Captain Emad Al Hosni, who joined as the guest of honour and inspired students with his words and presence.

Al Hosni spent time with students and teachers, encouraging young athletes to combine natural talent with hard work, punctuality and self-discipline. He highlighted that success in sports, much like in life, depends on dedication, teamwork and consistent effort.

  • This year’s Sports Day carried a distinctive theme, “Inventors and Inventions”, aimed at linking creativity with the importance of structure and time management

  • The school emphasised that innovation thrives when ideas are supported by discipline and responsibility, much like athletes training for peak performance

The programme included a wide range of inclusive activities designed for students of all abilities. Primary students and learners from the Special Needs Section took part in invention-themed games that tested their coordination, imagination and problem-solving skills. These activities encouraged children to think creatively while enjoying physical movement.

Senior students competed in energetic sprint and relay races, representing the four school houses—Tigers, Lions, Panthers and Jaguars. The races drew loud cheers from parents and staff, with students demonstrating speed, teamwork and sportsmanship.

School officials said the event reflects Al Injaz International Private School’s holistic approach to education, where physical fitness, creativity and character-building go hand in hand.
