Art Jameel, an organisation that supports artists and creative communities, is launching the second edition of “Ramadan Nights” at Hayy Jameel, offering a month-long celebration of culture, creativity, and community in the heart of Jeddah. Running from March 2 to March 29, 2025, the program features an exciting array of artistic and cultural activities designed to engage and inspire visitors throughout the holy month.

A Vibrant Hub of Artistic and Cultural Experiences

Operating daily from 9:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Ramadan Nights at Hayy Jameel will be free and open to all, with prior registration required. Under the slogan “Hayy Lights Up,” the event will transform Hayy Jameel into a vibrant hub of creativity, offering a dynamic mix of art exhibitions, cultural workshops, Ramadan bazaars, artisanal markets, film screenings, and pop-up eateries experiences.

A highlight of the event will be the Ramadan markets, including “Jebna Al Eid” (March 2-4) and “Ramadaniyat Lavender” (March 6-8), which will take place across Rukn Hayy, Fenaa Hayy, and Saha, the community courtyard at Hayy Jameel. These carefully curated markets will showcase a diverse selection of fashion, books, handcrafted items, and design pieces, alongside a variety of local culinary delights, traditional board games, and live Oud performances, creating an immersive and festive atmosphere.

A Dynamic Lineup of Cultural and Artistic Events

Beyond the markets, Ramadan Nights at Hayy Jameel presents an extensive lineup of interactive events and experiences, including:

– Hayy Markets: A curated bazaar at Fenaa Hayy featuring books, fashion, artisanal crafts, and design pieces promoting craftsmanship and local creativity.

– Pop-up Eateries: A diverse selection of local and fusion-inspired cuisine at Saha and Rukn Hayy, including Aysh Academy, Sofia’s Bistro, Cookie Boo, and more.

– Hayy Cinema: Repeated screenings of “My Heritage”, a program of short films exploring World Heritage sites in the Arab region, from 10 PM onwards.

– Hayy Explorers: An interactive program for kids aged 5-15, featuring storytelling, arts and crafts, running from 10 PM – 1 AM.

 Community Engagement and Interactive Experiences

In addition to its exhibitions, Ramadan Nights at Hayy Jameel will host a range of interactive workshops and community discussions, such as:

  • Handicraft and Cultural Workshops: Experience heritage through hands-on workshops such as lino-cut printmaking using Hejazi patterns, traditional crafts by local and refugee artisans, and Arabic calligraphy.
