Bahrain has reaffirmed its strong support for deeper cooperation between Arab countries and India at the second ministerial meeting of the Arab-Indian Co-operation Forum held in New Delhi, India. The meeting was jointly co-chaired by the League of Arab States and the Republic of India, bringing together senior officials from across the Arab world and India to discuss ways of strengthening ties.
Leading Bahrain’s delegation was Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations. He underscored the Kingdom’s commitment to expanding collaboration across vital sectors including politics, trade, energy, investment, technology and sustainable development. By building on shared interests and historical links, he said Bahrain aims to help shape a partnership that benefits both sides.

This ministerial meeting forms part of a renewed effort to enhance dialogue between Arab states and India. It follows the resumption of high-level engagement, including foreign ministers’ talks last weekend in New Delhi — the first of their kind in a decade. Participants discussed a broad range of issues, including ways to strengthen economic cooperation, energy security, education, culture and other areas of mutual interest.
