Bank of Baroda has launched the bob Global Women NRE & NRO Savings Account, a pioneering initiative for women NRIs, marking the first such offering among India’s public sector banks. This account provides a range of exclusive benefits, including concessional rates on home and auto loans, reduced processing fees, full waivers on locker rent, and a customized debit card offering complimentary airport lounge access. Additionally, it includes free personal and air accident insurance, making Bank of Baroda the first public sector bank to extend such coverage to NRIs holding savings account, reported timesofindia.indiatimes.com.

The bank aims to support global Indian women by providing banking privileges that cater to their evolving aspirations.

Beena Vaheed, Executive Director at Bank of Baroda, emphasized that the bank recognizes the changing aspirations of NRI customers and has designed the bob Global Women NRE & NRO Savings Account to empower global Indian women. The bank has also enhanced its bob Premium NRE & NRO Savings Account, now offering higher transaction limits on debit cards, free airport lounge access, free safe deposit lockers, and concessional loan rates.

Founded in 1908, Bank of Baroda operates in 17 countries, serving approximately 165 million customers. These new offerings reflect the bank’s broader strategy to capture a larger share of the global NRI market.
