Detained Amid Unclear Allegations
Rozik’s management confirmed the detention to Khaleej Times, stating that the arrest was related to a theft accusation. However, they withheld further specifics, and no official statement has been issued yet by UAE authorities, sparking widespread speculation online.
Abdu Rozik, who rose to fame due to his music and social media popularity, won hearts across India during his appearance on Bigg Boss 16, hosted by Salman Khan. With his endearing personality and relatable moments inside the house, he quickly became a viewer favourite. His Hindi track Chota Bhaijaan, a tribute to Salman Khan, further cemented his stardom.
A Star With Global Presence
Beyond reality TV, Abdu featured in Laughter Chefs: Entertainment Unlimited Season 2, partnered with YouTuber Elvish Yadav. However, he exited mid-season during Ramadan for a Dubai trip, after which actor Karan Kundrra stepped in as his replacement.
This isn’t the first controversy involving Rozik. In 2024, he was questioned by India’s Enforcement Directorate during a money laundering investigation linked to a hospitality firm. Although he wasn’t listed as a suspect, the episode stirred significant media attention.
Currently holding a UAE Golden Visa, Abdu Rozik has resided in Dubai for several years and enjoys a massive following across South Asia and the Gulf. With legal clarity still pending, fans await official updates from both his legal team and the Dubai authorities.
