Dubai Bling has set the benchmark for reality TV shows highlighting the opulent lifestyles of Asia’s elite. Among its standout personalities is Indian-origin model-turned-entrepreneur Farhana Bodi.

In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, she discusses fame, social media authenticity, and embracing her Indian heritage, reported hindustantimes.com.

Embracing Her Indian Roots
  • With over 3 million Instagram followers, Farhana’s influence extends beyond reality TV. Walking the Cannes Film Festival red carpet was a proud moment for her
  • “When I am at Cannes, I want to represent my Indian heritage. I hope to inspire Indian girls worldwide to dream big and aim for global recognition. If I can do it, so can they,” she says. “I am not just representing myself; I am representing Indian women on an international platform.”

Navigating Social Media and Reality TV

Farhana acknowledges that each season of Dubai Bling has expanded her online audience. The third season premiered on Netflix last month, further amplifying her reach. “With a platform like Netflix, you gain exposure to a global audience. Every season, new brands approach you, and your social media community grows,” she explains.

Contrary to popular belief, Farhana insists that being a content creator is not as effortless as it seems. “I stay humble about my success because I know the struggles I endured to get here. Hard work and determination are key, but it requires immense sacrifice and many sleepless nights,” she says.

Reality TV stars often face misrepresentation due to selective editing. Farhana agrees, stating, “On a reality show, we have no control over how edits portray us.” However, she believes authenticity is the solution. “I have always stayed true to myself, both on and off screen. What you see on social media is the real me.” She admits that the latest season of Dubai Bling misrepresented certain aspects of her personality, particularly the matchmaking storyline. “That wasn’t really me,” she clarifies.
