Dubai Chambers strengthens trade and investment ties with India

Indian companies lead foreign business presence in Dubai with 16,623 new memberships in 2024

Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, met with  Sunjay Sudhir, Ambassador of India to the UAE, to discuss strategies for enhancing trade and investment relations between Dubai and India, reported zawya.com.

Deepening Economic Cooperation

During the meeting,  Al Mansoori highlighted the vital role Indian companies play in Dubai’s economic growth, noting that Indian businesses account for the highest number of foreign enterprises in the emirate. In 2024 alone, 16,623 Indian companies joined the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, further strengthening bilateral trade ties.

Boosting Strategic Partnerships

 

 Al Mansoori emphasized Dubai Chambers’ commitment to supporting Indian businesses in expanding across diverse sectors and utilizing Dubai as a launchpad for global market access.

 

He also encouraged strategic partnerships between Indian and Dubai-based businesses, noting the key role of the Indian Business Council under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in facilitating trade relations.

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in information technology, logistics, and aviation, as well as the World Logistics Passport initiative, which enhances global trade flows and reduces logistics costs. The Dubai International Chamber’s Mumbai office was also highlighted as a crucial link in attracting Indian investments and assisting Dubai-based companies in expanding into India.

With Dubai emerging as a top destination for Indian businesses and entrepreneurs, both sides reaffirmed their dedication to fostering deeper trade and investment ties, ensuring sustained economic growth for both nations.
