A brutal murder in Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria district has exposed a shocking tale of betrayal, infidelity, and premeditated violence, as a Dubai-returned man was allegedly killed by his wife and her lover — who also happened to be his nephew.
The victim, Naushad Ahmad (38), had returned to his hometown Bhatauli just ten days earlier. On a quiet Sunday morning, a farmer in Patkhauli village stumbled upon a trolley bag in his field. Inside was a torso wrapped in plastic. Nearby, police recovered the lower half of the body in a sack.
At first glance, the case was a mystery. But among the items found with the suitcase were a foreign SIM card, an airport luggage tag, a travel barcode, and crucially, photocopied travel documents, including a passport — all pointing to the identity of the deceased.

Officers traced the suitcase back to Naushad. The same bag had accompanied him on his flight home from Dubai. Investigators soon reached his house, where his father and six-year-old daughter were living, unaware of the horror that had unfolded within those walls.
What unfolded next was a grim narrative of a forgiven affair that turned fatal.
Locals revealed that Naushad had earlier discovered his wife’s affair with his nephew. Though the issue had been addressed by the local panchayat, and Naushad had chosen to forgive and rebuild, the affair reportedly resumed during his recent visit — this time ending in a gruesome murder.
Police allege the wife and nephew planned the murder to prevent being exposed again. Naushad was killed using a chopper, axe, and pestle, his body dismembered and packed into his own luggage, which was then dumped.
Under the direction of SP Vikran Vir, the police arrested the accused and recovered the murder weapons along with Naushad’s phone, solidifying the evidence against them.
While Naushad’s elderly father was left in shock, his daughter Atifa has been moved to the care of other relatives as investigations continue.
