External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will visit the United Kingdom and Ireland from March 4 to 9, 2025, to strengthen bilateral relations across key sectors and engage with Indian communities.

Focus on enhancing cooperation in defence, trade, and cultural ties

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar (EAM) will embark on an official visit to the United Kingdom and Ireland from March 4 to 9, 2025, aiming to strengthen bilateral ties and discuss key areas of cooperation.

During his visit to the UK, EAM will hold discussions with Foreign Secretary David Lammy and meet other dignitaries to reinforce the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations

The talks will focus on Defence & Security, Trade & Economy, Health, Education, and People-to-people ties. He will also engage with members of the Indian community in the UK.

In Ireland, EAM will meet with Irish Foreign Minister Simon Harris on March 6-7, 2025, along with other officials and Indian community leaders. The visit aims to deepen the friendly bilateral relationship between India and Ireland, which is built on shared democratic values, cultural ties, and growing economic engagement.

EAM’s visit is expected to provide a renewed impetus to India’s friendly ties with both UK and Ireland, fostering closer collaboration in key areas and expanding economic and cultural partnerships.
