Eight students from India and two from the Middle East have been awarded the prestigious Global Citizen Scholarship 2025, unlocking ₹1 crore each in funding to pursue Class 11 and 12 at GIIS SMART Campus, Singapore, reported hindustantimes.com.

Now in its 18th edition, the Global Citizen Scholarship covers tuition, living expenses, and a stipend—investing in future-ready students with academic excellence and global aspirations.

₹1 Crore Scholarship to Empower Future Leaders

Eight Indian school students and two from the Middle East have won the Global Citizen Scholarship (GCS) 2025, earning an all-inclusive educational package worth ₹1 crore per student. The award funds two years of senior secondary education (Class 11 and 12) at the Global Indian International School (GIIS) SMART Campus in Singapore.

The comprehensive scholarship covers 100% of tuition, boarding, and living expenses, along with a generous stipend to support the students during their academic journey.

At a felicitation ceremony hosted by GIIS in New Delhi, the latest cohort of winners was celebrated for their academic achievements, leadership capabilities, and vision for impact

“Empowering Dreams, Building Global Leaders”

“The Global Citizen Scholarship goes beyond financial support; it empowers dreams,” said Pramod Tripathi, Director – Academic, Global Schools Group. “We are investing in students who think globally and act purposefully. These scholars will be future changemakers.”

The GCS programme, launched in 2008, evaluates candidates through a rigorous multi-stage selection process that weighs academic excellence, leadership potential, community involvement, and critical thinking.

Spotlight on Impact: From Assam to Singapore

One of this year’s recipients, Nishtha Nirmita Mahanta from Moran Town, Assam, described the scholarship as life-changing.

“This opportunity has transformed my life trajectory,” she said. “It’s not just about studying at a world-class school—it’s about being part of a global community that inspires us to dream big, aim high, and give back.”

Now in its 18th edition, the Global Citizen Scholarship continues to build bridges across borders by nurturing ambitious young minds and equipping them to become future leaders in a rapidly evolving world.
