Emirates unveils $8m crew training centre

Emirates has inaugurated a cutting-edge $8 million Emirates Centre of Hospitality Excellence in Dubai, dedicated to training nearly 25,000 cabin crew members. The facility is designed to immerse crew in luxury hospitality standards, focusing on personalized and high-end service, inspired by Michelin-star practices. Covering fine dining, premium guest engagement, and service innovation, the centre includes a restaurant and lounge for 170 guests, eight technology-enabled classrooms, and presentation kitchens simulating gourmet environments. By year-end, more than 10,000 crew members are expected to complete training here, with ongoing refresher courses for the entire workforce, reported timesofindia.indiatimes.com.

The centre offers an immersive curriculum featuring Michelin-star inspired dining, culinary arts, service excellence, and wine training, developed in collaboration with Switzerland’s Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne

Cabin crew undergo training that includes: immersive fine dining experiences, culinary arts and plating techniques, The Art of Service course emphasizing emotional intelligence and luxury service nuances, and L’art du Vin wine training across three levels led by expert sommeliers.

This complements Emirates’ other advanced facilities, such as the 24/7 Crew Zone, supporting professional development with workshops, wellbeing hubs, and interactive lounges. Crew training blends theory with practical simulations, covering safety, emergency procedures, aviation security, and service excellence.

Thomas Ney, Divisional Senior VP of Service Delivery at Emirates, emphasized that this investment enables cabin crew to connect deeply with customers, enhancing the luxury experience on every flight.
