A celebratory event organized by Team Mangalorean recently honored Dr. Aarthi Krishna, Vice Chairperson of the NRI Forum Karnataka, recognizing her contributions and advocacy for non-resident Kannadigas and the coastal communities of Karnataka, reported bellevision.com.
The felicitation took place at the Lotus Hall in Solitaire Corporate Park, Andheri East, Mumbai, gathering key figures and supporters from the Mangalorean and Kannadiga communities.
During her address, Dr. Aarthi Krishna emphasized the significance of non-resident Kannadigas, stating, “Non-Resident Kannadigas are invaluable assets for the prosperity of coastal Karnataka. They have contributed significantly to the development of the hinterlands. My focus remains on advancing the welfare of overseas Kannadigas.” Dr. Krishna further highlighted the need for governmental support in creating dedicated employment opportunities for those returning from abroad, noting that efforts are underway to include such initiatives in the state’s political agenda.
In his address, B. Ramanatha Rai acknowledged Dr. Krishna’s exceptional dedication, noting, “Aarthi Krishna has a unique ability to respond to the concerns of non-resident Indians, and her leadership is both efficient and empathetic. She is truly a valuable advocate for the community.”
The event featured a distinguished lineup of guests. MRCC Senior Vice President Janet L. D’Souza presided over the gathering, while Former Karnataka Minister B. Ramanatha Rai served as the chief guest, inaugurating the program with a ceremonial lamp lighting. In a show of appreciation, Dr. Aarthi Krishna received a shawl, flowers, and a memento, along with heartfelt wishes for her continued success.
