Men accused of conspiring in the death of a 35-year-old Indian man in New Jersey
Five Indian-origin men have been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the death of Kuldeep Kumar, a 35-year-old man from India. The incident occurred in Manchester Township, New Jersey, in October 2024, reported tribuneindia.com.
Sandeep Kumar leads the accused group
Sandeep Kumar, 34, from South Ozone Park, New York, along with four others, Sourav Kumar (23), Gaurav Singh (27), Nirmal Singh (30), and Gurdeep Singh (22) from Greenwood, Indiana, have been identified as the accused in the case. Kuldeep Kumar’s body was discovered in the Greenwood Wildlife Management Area on December 14, 2024.
Postmortem reveals gunshot wounds
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that Kuldeep died from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.
The death was classified as homicide. Investigations revealed that Kuldeep had been reported missing by his family on October 26, 2024, shortly after his murder was believed to have occurred
Legal proceedings and detentions
Sandeep Kumar was arrested on January 3, 2025, and is currently lodged at the Ocean County Jail, pending a detention hearing. The other four accused were arrested in Indiana and are being held at the Johnson County Jail, awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
