Missing a flight due to late arrival of passengers or some technical reasons related to visa and passports are common in the aviation sector, but missing flights due to the flights departure several hours prior to their scheduled departure time, is something that is not heard usually.

This happened with 80 Air India Express passengers, who were left stranded at the Kozhikode airport, as two flights bound to Doha (IX 373) and Sharjah (IX 351) left the airport early, said the passengers who missed their flights, said a report in The New Indian Express.

According to the airline sources, the passengers were intimated about the rescheduling of the flights on Saturday (02-04-2022) for the flight that was scheduled to depart the Kozhikode airport on Sunday (03-04-22).

The passengers who missed the flights, however, said they did not receive any mail that was sent after 10pm. “A passenger even received a message on her phone at 11 am on Sunday, informing that the flight’s departure time was rescheduled to 7:30 am. Several passengers had to reach their destinations early to join duty on Monday,” the report said.
