Seven days after fumbling a 2-0 lead against Klopp’s 8th-placed Liverpool, Arsenal again threw a 2-0 lead against West Ham on Sunday. The London-based club started hot on the front foot, with Gabriel Jesus putting the team ahead in the seventh minute. They found their lead doubled shortly after, with Martin Odegaard scoring in the 10th minute. The Premier League leaders buckled under pressure, however, as West Ham fought back and capitalised on an error by the London team with a penalty scored by Benrahma in the 33rd minute. The match was tied after Jarrod Bowen found the net shortly after halftime.
With two draws in their last 2 games, Arsenal now sits at 74 points, with Manchester City tailing close behind with 70. The two top sides collided on 27th April at Manchester City’s home turf in a match that would be decisive for both teams’ aspirations this season.
