According to the Federal Institute for Employment Research (IAB), there are approximately two million unfilled positions in the country. Several workers from the European Union have joined various positions, yet leaving a huge gap in the growing demand for skilled labour.
Heil expressed interest in increasing talent immigration from India to Germany during his visit to India for the G20 labour minister’s summit.
