Promotional event showcases Goa’s evolving tourism landscape to Omani travel trade and investors
In a strategic move to attract tourists and business from the Middle East, Goa Tourism hosted a promotional roadshow in Muscat, Oman, aimed at highlighting the Indian coastal state’s diverse and evolving tourism offerings. The event, held on Monday, saw participation from Omani travel professionals, tour operators, media representatives, and potential investors, reported zawya.com.

Led by Kuldeep Arolkar, Managing Director of the Goa Tourism Development Corporation, and representatives of Oman’s travel and hospitality sectors, the event spotlighted Goa’s transformation beyond its famed beaches.
Delegates included members of the Travel Trade Association of Goa, led by President Jack Sukhija, as well as charter operators, hoteliers, and travel agents.
Goa’s Tourism Minister Rohan A Khaunte noted that the state is redefining its identity to promote hinterland beauty, spiritual tourism, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) infrastructure. “Through this roadshow in Oman, we aim to invite both travellers and businesses to discover Goa’s vibrant culture, natural charm, and potential as a comprehensive tourism destination,” he said.
Kedar Naik, Director of Goa Tourism, emphasized the importance of international outreach, calling the roadshow part of a long-term vision to make Goa a global tourism hub. The Muscat event also promoted Goa’s focus on regenerative tourism, eco-tourism, wellness, adventure, and cultural experiences, underscoring the state’s sustainable approach to tourism development.
