IFC organizes musical show to foster unity among Indian immigrant communities

 With a mission to promote harmony amidst diversity and assists immigrants from the Indian Sub-Continent, helping them acclimate to American culture, navigate their new environment,and also strive to address the physical and spiritual needs of the community, reported India Post News Service

In its 11th year, the International Friendship Center (IFC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering unity amongst communities of the Indian Sub-Continent, continues its commendable efforts. With a mission to promote harmony amidst diversity and assists immigrants from the Indian Sub-Continent, helping them acclimate to American culture, navigate their new environment,and also strive to address the physical and spiritual needs of the community, reported India Post News Service.

Recently, IFC organized a spectacular musical extravaganza on July 1, 2023, at the Shahi Mahal Restaurant in Lakewood California. The event aimed at fostering integration by bringing together families. Cultures, religions, and languages -essentially encapsulating the pressing need of our world today and epitomize the values upheld by America.

This enthralling event witnessed the convergence of people from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, and Gujarat, where their respective languages including Hindi and Urdu seamlessly intervened. The occasion served as a unique platform for cultural exchange, with various groups captivating the audience through an array of entertainment, musical performances, and enchanting Indian Classical and Bollywood dances.

Looking ahead IFC has ambitious plans for the future and eagerly anticipates hosting more community events said Dr. Jairaju Gorlla, founder and president of IFC, He also expressed his enthusiasm for organizing a similar grand event in Artesia during the summer of 2024

  1. Malakar of Passion Movement International shared his vision of working together for the ultimate purpose of community outreach.

Councilman Ali Taj of Artesia graced the event, further embellishing its significance. The highlights included captivating Indian cultural dances by the talented LASYA group. Bahar Khan hailing from Afghanistan showcased his remarkable talent by mesmerizing the audience with soulful renditions of classical Hindi songs. Mansi Mehra effortlessly charmed the audience as the event’s emcee, and her stand-up comedy act left everyone in splits. Participants showcased their exceptional skills, demonstrating their unwavering passion and dedication.
