The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) is set to connect Indian jewellery brands with buyers from over 25 countries at the International Gem and Jewellery Show (IGJS) in Dubai. Scheduled from October 8 to 10, 2024, the event will take place at Le Meridien, Dubai. IGJS aims to expand business opportunities for Indian jewellers, particularly in the flourishing Middle Eastern market.

The event is expected to attract over 350 buyers, according to a recent announcement by GJEPC on Facebook. By featuring a diverse range of Indian jewellery, the trade show offers a valuable platform for brands to network and boost exports.

  • Spread across 128 exhibitor booths, Indian brands are displaying loose diamonds, gemstones, studded jewellery, lab-grown diamonds, and more
  • The Hong Kong trade show, running until September 22, demonstrates GJEPC’s commitment to broadening the international footprint of Indian jewellers

The UAE, a key market, has already recorded a 13% growth in studded gold jewellery exports during the first quarter of FY 2025. This growth further underscores the significance of this year’s event, as Indian businesses seek to capitalize on the booming demand for jewellery in the region.

GJEPC regularly participates in global trade shows to promote Indian gems and jewellery, ensuring Indian brands reach international buyers. Recently, the council launched the India Pavilion at Jewellery & Gem World in Hong Kong, showcasing 84 member exporters.
