Secretary (East) Jaideep Mazumdar met with Munkhtushig Lkhanaajav, State Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mongolia, on March 19, 2025, to discuss ways to enhance the India-Mongolia Strategic Partnership.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed ongoing collaborations in multiple sectors, including developmental partnership, education, IT, energy, connectivity, culture, capacity building, mining, defence, and security.
To mark 70 years of diplomatic relations, both nations agreed to conduct a series of commemorative activities and formally upgrade the Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) to the Secretary level to facilitate stronger diplomatic engagements.
