On October 17, 2024, India and Singapore convened for their first Cyber Policy Dialogue in Singapore. Co-chaired by Mr. Amit A. Shukla, Joint Secretary for Cyber Diplomacy at India’s Ministry of External Affairs, and Mr. David Koh, Chief Executive of Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency, this landmark meeting underscored the two nations’ shared commitment to bolstering cybersecurity cooperation.

  • This dialogue reflects the deepening cyber collaboration envisioned in the India-Singapore Joint Statement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Singapore in September 2024

  • The establishment of this bilateral platform marks a significant step forward, allowing India and Singapore to leverage their shared expertise to secure and advance their digital landscapes

The dialogue facilitated comprehensive discussions on cyber threats, national cybersecurity strategies, and policies. Both parties shared insights on threat landscapes, policy frameworks, and developments in global cyber governance under United Nations initiatives. Additionally, the meeting underscored practical areas of cooperation, including sharing cyber threat alerts, safeguarding critical information infrastructure, and conducting joint training programs for capacity building.
