Mr. Sun Weidong as part of the India-China Foreign Secretary-Vice Foreign Minister mechanism. The meeting followed up on commitments made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Xi Jinping during their October 2024 meeting in Kazan.

They also planned an early meeting of the India-China Expert Level Mechanism to resume hydrological data sharing and discuss cooperation on trans-border rivers.
