The Consulate General of India in Dubai has said it is working closely with local authorities, airlines and community groups to assist Indian nationals stranded in the UAE following multiple flight cancellations.

The statement was issued after Supriya Sule, a Member of Parliament from Maharashtra, highlighted on social media the case of three Indian citizens from Pune who are currently stuck in Dubai and seeking urgent help. She requested External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, the Dubai consulate and the Ministry of External Affairs to ensure their safe and early return to India.

  • In response to Supriya Sule’s statement, the consulate confirmed on Sunday that it is coordinating with UAE authorities and airlines to support affected passengers

  • It added that it remains in constant touch with members of the Indian community to provide assistance wherever needed=

Earlier, the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi issued an advisory urging Indian nationals in the UAE to avoid unnecessary travel, stay alert and strictly follow safety instructions issued by local authorities. The embassy said it is functioning normally and will provide further updates if required.

Officials also advised the community not to believe rumours or unverified information circulating online. They urged people to rely only on official social media accounts and announcements from the Indian missions and UAE government authorities.
