Indian Minister of State (MoS) for External Affairs, V Muraleedharan, engaged with the Indian Diaspora in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia recently. He expressed his delight in interacting with the vibrant Indian diaspora during the Pravasi Bharatiya Utsav, which was hosted by the High Commission of India in Kuala Lumpur. The MoS took to Twitter to commend the substantial contributions of the Indian diaspora in Malaysia to various aspects of life and their role in nurturing India-Malaysia ties.

He praised the Temple of Fine Arts Malaysia, the Sutra Foundation led by Padma Sri Datuk Ramli Ibrahim, Sitar Maestro Samuel Dass, and the ICCR Headquarters Troupe Shri Patel Raas Mandali for their excellent performances.

Minister of State Muraleedharan’s visit to Malaysia marked the last leg of his tour following his visit to Brunei. During his stay, he met members of the Malaysian Armed Forces Sikh Veteran Association (MAFSVA) in Kuala Lumpur, where he expressed his appreciation for their valiant efforts.
MoS Muraleedharan also had meetings with the office bearers of the Netaji Welfare Foundation and Netaji Service Centre, where he commended their endeavors to preserve the legacy of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose in Malaysia. He lauded their efforts and expressed his happiness in interacting with them.
Furthermore, he met with Indian workers from various sectors in Malaysia, discussing their experiences and assuring them of the Indian government’s continued commitment to their welfare and well-being.
During his visit, he also met with members of the All Malaysia Malayalee Association (AMMA), praising their role in strengthening the socio-cultural connection between India and Malaysia. MoS Muraleedharan expressed his delight in hearing about AMMA’s activities and their contributions to the Malaysian Malayalee community.
The MoS also had meetings with the Deputy President of the Malaysian Indian Congress and committee members in Kuala Lumpur, thanking them for their consistent support in fostering closer ties between India and Malaysia.
In addition, he held interactions with committee members of the World Malayalee Federation, Malaysia Chapter, in Kuala Lumpur, where he appreciated their activities aimed at promoting the social and professional development of Malayalee NRIs and their commitment to the welfare of Malayalee NRIs in Malaysia.
