Indian Embassy, Oman’s G20 team organise Beach Cleaning Drive at Shati Al Qurum as part of India’s G20 Presidency

The Beach Cleaning Drive witnessed a participation of more than 100 volunteers, including students and members of Oman’s G20 team

MUSCAT (Oman)

Embassy of India, Muscat in association with Oman’s G20 team successfully organized a Beach Cleaning Drive at Shati Al Qurum Beach on Monday (May 21, 2023.) The initiative was part of India’s ongoing G20 Presidency, with the objective of promoting environmental sustainability and community engagement.

The Beach Cleaning Drive witnessed a participation of more than 100 volunteers, including students and members of Oman’s G20 team. The volunteers actively contributed their time and efforts towards the cleaning and rejuvenation of Shati Al Qurum Beach, making it a more pleasant environment for all.

 

The Embassy of India in Muscat expressed sincere gratitude to all the volunteers, students, and members of Oman’s G20 team who selflessly contributed their time and energy to make the Beach Cleaning Drive a resounding success

 

Pankaj Khimji, Oman’s Sherpa of the G20 Secretariat, and Amit Narang, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman took part in the drive and addressed the media highlighting the importance of collective action in addressing environmental challenges and the need for continued cooperation between nations.

“The Embassy of India in Muscat would like to express its sincere gratitude to all the volunteers, students, and members of Oman’s G20 team who selflessly contributed their time and energy to make the Beach Cleaning Drive a resounding success. Their commitment and enthusiasm exemplify the spirit of collaboration and community engagement that is essential in achieving our common goals,” said an embassy release issued on Monday.
