30-year-old technician from Uttar Pradesh among winners of Abu Dhabi Big Ticket Series 278
An Indian expatriate working in Dubai has won a life-changing jackpot of 15 million UAE Dirhams (approximately ₹35 crore) in the Abu Dhabi Big Ticket Series 278, held on September 3, reported livemint.com.
The winner, Sandeep Kumar Prasad, 30, hails from Uttar Pradesh and has been employed at Dubai Drydocks for the past three years. He purchased the lucky ticket (No. 200669) on August 19 as part of a 20-member group.

Having only started buying Big Ticket entries three months ago, Sandeep initially doubted the organisers when they contacted him. Once the win was confirmed, he was overcome with emotion. “For the first time in my life, I am truly happy,” he said.
The windfall has not only transformed Sandeep’s life but also uplifted his fellow group members, many from modest, middle-income families. “This win has given me the strength and hope to build a secure future for them,” he added.
Alongside the grand prize, six other participants also secured Dh100,000 each in the same draw. Among them were Sri Lankan expatriate Ranjith Nair, Dubai resident Nikhil Raj from India currently in Kuwait, a Jordanian expatriate in Dubai, and Mohammed Rashid, a Bangladeshi expatriate holding ticket number 072030.
