An ordinary day turned extraordinary for Manjusha Puthiyaveetil, an Indian expat from Kerala who has been living in Dubai for the past two decades, after she won a 250g 24K gold bar worth approximately Dh125,000 in the Big Ticket weekly e-draw (Series 280) , reported gulfnews.com.

Manjusha was at a clinic when she received the life-changing call from Big Ticket host Richard, initially unsure of the unfamiliar number — until she heard the words every participant dreams of.

“May I know who is this?” she asked cautiously before realising she was speaking to Richard from Big Ticket. Once she heard the good news that her ticket number 273857 had made her a winner, her hesitation quickly turned into delight.

“Oh wow, that’s nice! Thank you so much,” exclaimed the elated winner, laughing as she shared that she was still at the clinic when she got the news.

  • Manjusha revealed she has been purchasing Big Ticket entries ‘on and off’ over the years, though she can’t recall exactly when she began participating
  • This time, luck finally smiled on her. And when asked if she planned to share her winnings, she joked, “No, it’s just for me!”

Big Ticket draws continue to attract thousands of hopeful participants across the UAE and beyond. Tickets can be purchased online at www.bigticket.ae or at Zayed International Airport and Al Ain Airport counters.
