Kerala native Ajai Jayan bags Dh50,000 prize in weekly draw, aims for grand prize next
A 32-year-old Indian expat living in Dubai, Ajai Krishnakumar Jayan, has won Dh50,000 in the Big Ticket’s weekly e-draw held in Abu Dhabi. Originally from Kerala and working as a purchase officer, Jayan has been trying his luck with the Big Ticket for a year after discovering it through social media, reported gulfnews.com.
“Really! Good to hear that. I didn’t expect to win the e-draw, but I was hoping to win the Dh20 million grand prize,” Jayan told show host Bouchra after winning with ticket number 303294.
Jayan’s winning ticket is still in the running for the Dh20 million grand draw on August 3
For the past year, Jayan has been buying tickets as part of a group of 10 friends, pooling their hopes to claim the life-changing Dh20 million prize. “I will be sharing the prize money among my group and use my share to continue purchasing Big Ticket entries,” he said.
Despite his recent win, Jayan’s eyes are firmly set on the ultimate prize. “We bought tickets together for a chance to win Dh20 million,” he said, adding that their shared dream keeps the group motivated.
Encouraging others to join in, Jayan advised, “My advice to others is to give it a try, you never know when your luck might strike.”
His lucky ticket will be placed back into the draw drum for the grand prize event scheduled for August 3, keeping his jackpot hopes alive.
