Oman-based technician from Kerala strikes gold after years of trying his luck
Abu Dhabi: An Indian expat from Kerala, Rajesh Mullankil Vellilapullithodi, has won Dh15 million in the latest Abu Dhabi Big Ticket Series 273 draw, held on Thursday. The lucky winner, a 45-year-old technician based in Oman, had purchased the winning ticket No. 375678 on March 30, 2025, reported gulfnews.com.
“I was so happy and shocked when I got the call!” said Rajesh, who has been trying his luck for years.
Rajesh has been living in Oman for 33 years and consistently bought Big Tickets every month as part of a group of friends. “Just five minutes before the draw, a friend told me to check the results. I never imagined I would actually win,” he said, still in disbelief.
Though the prize will be shared among the group, Rajesh is yet to decide on specific plans for the money. However, he confirmed one thing—he’ll definitely keep trying his luck with Big Ticket.
The winning ticket was picked by Dh20 million Big Ticket winner Jahangir Alom, who joined hosts Richard and Bouchra during the live draw
A Maserati for One Lucky Sharjah Resident
The Series 273 draw also had a luxury twist. Ali Musharbek, a UAE national currently residing in Sharjah, won a brand-new Maserati Grecale. He purchased his ticket (No. 018083) online on March 15, 2025, and now looks forward to driving off in style.
