“Your word in your respective villages is of great importance. Now, once again when 2022 is seeing an election… It is my humble appeal that you become the ambassadors of the BJP and go to every village of Gujarat and spread the word of Narendrabhai (Prime Minister Narendra Modi).”

Virtually addressing the “Pravasi Gujarati Parv 2022” Indian Minister for Home and Co-operation Amit Shah said, “After 1990, whenever there were elections, Gujarat’s people have made the BJP victorious and in this victory there is a huge contribution of the NRG (Non-Resident Gujarati) brothers and sisters.”

He also pointed out to the Gujarati NRIs, “Your word in your respective villages is of great importance. Now, once again when 2022 is seeing an election… It is my humble appeal that you become the ambassadors of the BJP and go to every village of Gujarat and spread the word of Narendrabhai (Prime Minister Narendra Modi)”.

In the event, held in Ahmedabad by the AAIANA (Association of Indian Americans in North America) and TV9 media group, reported by indianexpress, Shah said that Modi brought India to fifth largest economy displacing England and thus “without a fuss, India has shown the world that we have become a bigger economy than the country that ruled us for 150 years, with pride”.

“Gujarat’s people have made the BJP victorious and in this victory there is a huge contribution of the NRG (Non-Resident Gujarati) brothers and sisters.”

 — Amit Shah

“When Narendrabhai became the chief minister of this state, a large portion of people in the country had lost trust in the country’s democracy. Everyone used to wonder if the multi-party democratic parliamentary system could ensure the welfare of the country.

The accepted path for development had left a large portion of the country remained underdeveloped. Everyone used to feel that the democratic system is not for us.Narendrabhai successfully implemented the concept of welfare state as visualised by those who built the Constitution,” Shah said.

Shah said, “The biggest work done by Narendrabhai was to give a platform for the talented in the democratic setup. Those who have the ability were given a platform. Narendrabhai rooted out parivarvad (dynasty politics), jaativad (caste politics) and tustikaran (appeasement) from the country and started an era of politics-of-performance. Those who perform, people will elect them.”

Shah also added that Modi had helped beautify temples at Somnath, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Kashi Vishwanath, Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain and is now building Ram temple at Ayodhya.
