An Indian national, Mohammed Ahmed from Hyderabad, Telangana, has alleged in a viral video on X that he was tricked into traveling to Russia for employment but is now being forced into military training and frontline combat in the ongoing conflict with Ukraine, reported gujaratsamachar.com.

According to Ahmed, he left India on April 25, 2025, after being offered a construction job by Trust Consultancy, a Mumbai-based recruitment firm reportedly operated by an individual named Adil. Upon arrival, Ahmed and others were left without work for nearly a month, before being moved to a remote area where they were allegedly coerced into weapons training.

Ahmed claims that around 30 men, including six Indians, were part of the group, and that 26 were later sent to the battlefront. He said that after jumping from a military vehicle to escape, he fractured his right leg. In his plea, he alleged that 17 members of his group have already died, and he now faces death threats if he refuses to fight.

Family in distress, calls for urgent diplomatic intervention

Ahmed, who supports a paralyzed mother, his wife, and two young children aged 10 and 4, pleaded for help from Indian authorities, stating he fears for his life. The case has been brought to the attention of the Indian Embassy in Moscow for urgent intervention and repatriation efforts.

Amjed Ullah Khan, spokesperson for the Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT), has publicly appealed to Indian authorities to contact Ahmed directly and ensure his safe return.

The Indian government has yet to issue an official statement on the matter, but the video has sparked widespread concern about job scams luring Indians into foreign conflict zones.
