Sarella Veerendra Kumar, an Indian citizen from Andhra Pradesh, has safely returned to India after being stranded in Saudi Arabia. He arrived at the Hyderabad International Airport on Friday, where he was joyfully reunited with his family.
Veerendra’s plight gained attention after he posted a video on social media appealing for help. Nara Lokesh, a state minister, responded to the video, promising to rescue him. Following the minister’s directive, the NRI Forum took swift action to assist the stranded man.

The Indian Embassy in Riyadh confirmed Veerendra Kumar’s safe return. In a post on X, the Embassy expressed gratitude to the community volunteers who collaborated to ensure his safe return. “We are happy to announce that he has safely returned now. We wish to thank all the community volunteers who worked with the Embassy to ensure his safe return to India,” the post read.
