Canada Visit: As PM Modi lands in Canada on his 3-nation tour, a young fan in Toronto wins hearts with a special tribute
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarks on a three-nation tour to Cyprus, Canada, and Croatia, an Indian-origin family in Toronto has caught attention online with a touching tribute to the visiting leader. A heartwarming video, shared by the Consulate General of India in Toronto, shows a young child, Aahdvik, presenting a handmade sketch of the prime minister — a gesture drawing smiles across the diaspora community, reported hindustantimes.com.
In the now-viral clip, little Aahdvik greets the prime minister with a cheerful “Namaste” while holding up his pencil sketch of Modi. His parents, Niharika from Lucknow and Shashank from Varanasi, appear beside him and offer their warm wishes to “Priya Pradhan Mantri” ahead of his visit to Canada — the second stop in his multi-nation diplomatic outreach.
Aahdvik, a child of Indian origin in Toronto, shares a ‘Namaste’ and a sketch for PM Modi, reflecting diaspora excitement for his Canada visit.
The Consulate General captioned the post:
“Little Aahdvik and his parents share their joy and gratitude ahead of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s visit to Canada. Full of excitement and joy, Aahdvik presents a sketch of the Prime Minister—an artistic gesture straight from the heart.”
PM Modi’s ongoing visit aims to deepen India’s global partnerships and promote key sectors. Before departing, the PM noted:
“The visit provides an opportunity to build upon the historical bonds and expand our ties in the areas of trade, investment, security, technology and promote people-to-people exchanges.”
Highlighting the importance of the G7 Summit in Canada, Modi added:
“From Cyprus, I will travel to Kananaskis, Canada to attend the G7 Summit at the invitation of Prime Minister H.E. Mark Carney. The Summit will provide space for the exchange of views on pressing global issues and the priorities of the Global South.”
With gestures like Aahdvik’s, the enthusiasm of the Indian diaspora continues to showcase the emotional and cultural ties between India and its global community, making Modi’s visit even more meaningful.
